How Much Time Do We Have?

I watched a touching film this week called The School of Life

In the movie Ryan Reynolds plays a middle school teacher named Michael D'Angelo, but everyone calls him Mr. D.
The reason I bring this up is because Mr. D poses a question in the film.
And the question is...
"How much time do we have?"
and his answer is...
"Not a lot."
Not a lot? Not a lot!?! We base our entire existence on one belief. We have plenty of time. Plenty of time to finish school. Plenty of time to figure out who we are. Plenty of time to travel. Plenty of time to let someone know how much we love them. Plenty of time to LIVE! That's what keeps us going. We are not wired to focus on the fact that this day, this week, this year! May just be our last.
We are wired to believe "Everybody dies....but me."

We've all been inspired by stories of people who have been diagnosed with terminal illness and proceed to check off a bucket list of all the things they ever wanted to do (and say) in there life. The problem is, we don't always have a warning. We never know when we will lose someone dear to us or when we ourselves will be faced with something that will prevent us from doing the things we've always wanted to do or being the person we always wanted to be.

My message today is not about sitting around thinking about how much time we have left. It's about what we do with the time we have left. There's just not enough time to let ourselves get mired down in unhealthy thoughts. We simply don't have time to live in denial and blame other people for our unhappiness and bad luck. We don't have time to hold foolish grudges or worry about what others are thinking about us. We have absolutely no control over what others think! Sure we can influence, but at the end of the day, the only person who can make each minute count for you, is you.

Happiness comes from doing the things we are passionate about doing and being with the people we are passionate about being with. It's not selfish. When we fulfill ourselves we have the ability to inspire others. You know who you want to be. Stop wasting time mulling it over and be that person!
Don't waste a minute of your life on being petty, negative, self defeated or bored.

Fill your time with positive energy, positive thoughts and positive results! Tell the people that you love, you love them! If you had a falling out with someone, say you're sorry! There is one thing for certain. Your time will run out eventually.

LIVE EVERY MINUTE AS IF IT WAS YOUR LAST!
