Your Dreams Are Sitting Right Where You Left Them...
Happy are those who dream dreams and are willing to pay the price to make them come true- Leon Joseph Cardinal Suenens
We all have dreams. Some dreams are fleeting fancies from childhood and all that's left of them is a smile when we remember. Some dreams are daydreams and they take us away for awhile. But some dreams? Some dreams burn deep within us and if we don't pay attention we may lose them.
It would be amazing if all our dreams suddenly appeared at the very moment we imagined them. Unfortunately, that's just not how it works. There's no doubt that dreams are powerful, but is that really enough? Are you willing to put the work in to reach your dreams?

My guess is, you won't have to rummage through any drawers or dig up a time capsule to find your lost dreams. You've probably thought of them often over the years, so the first thing you need to do is tell yourself- you can and you will make your dreams a reality. We all have unlimited potential. Remind yourself it's worth it. You're worth it!
Once you have made the decisions to go for it, then start with a vision. What is it that you want to create? Studies have shown that vision boards and visuals work. Visualization is one of the most powerful tools our minds have. Place pictures or drawings of your dreams on a board or wall or on the door of the fridge. Write your dreams down and be sure your writing and imagery reflect how you will feel when you accomplish your goals. Emotions fuel motivation and motivation keeps you moving forward. Keep your vision in front of you every day.
After you have create a clear and present vision for your dream, it's time to get to work.
Chris Gardner of Pursuit of Happiness fame went from homeless to happy by sacrificing and putting the work in. He was relentless in his pursuit. That's how he made it happen and that's how you will make it happen for yourself.
"If you want something, go get it. Period."- Chris Gardner
I wanted to write a book for twenty years. I like many others let that dream sit for two decades. Every once in a while I took it out and dusted it off, looked at it and continued to wish for it. The problem was, the wishing wasn't getting it done. It wasn't until I got serious, set a vision, kept it in front of me and did the work every day that I was able to make my dream a reality. That is true of almost everything I've accomplished in my life.
If you've got a dream sitting there waiting for you to dust it off and make it happen, now's the time. Tell yourself you can. Tell yourself you will and tell yourself you're worth it!
